Computer Repairs, Upgrades and Maintenance

Edward Martin Computer Services can repair, up-grade and maintain computer hardware, software and peripheral devices. Work can be carried out on-site or following transfer of your equipment to our fully equipped workshop. In some cases we can diagnose and fix problems using our remote assistance service. For example we can:

  • Repair or replace faulty hardware such as a broken hard disk, graphics card or printer.
  • Upgrade hardware to revitalize your existing equipment (eg more memory or disk storage).
  • Repair software and fix errors in Microsoft Windows, faulty applications and even remove viruses and spyware.
  • Upgrade software and keep you up to date with the latest systems (Windows 10) and applications (Office 2013).

 

Computing Services

Broadband and Network solutions: In association with Entanet we provide reliable, high quality broadband internet and E-mail services. We can install and maintain home and business networks from industrial strength network servers to wireless multimedia entertainment systems. Business Computing: We can improve and integrate your business processes with accounting and payroll software (eg SAGE) and fully integrated EPOS till and bar coding systems.

Website design: From single or multi page business sites to fully user managed E-commerce solutions, we design and implement websites that best suit you and your visitors needs.

Training and Tuition: Beginner, intermediate or advanced – learn on your own computer and at your own pace. Lessons are individually tailored to your needs and level of expertise.

Vacancies

Support Technician

This role involves giving great customer service, to an excellent standard, to both business and personal customers.

The applicant will be skilled in all aspects of software and hardware management including servers, workstation, and laptops. A detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Products is expected. Proficiency in Linux and MacOS would be of benefit.

Printer repair skills will be required but not essential as training can be provided. The applicant will be expected to keep themselves updated with technology updates as they occur. The role includes working at our premises in Williton and onsite at customer locations. A full driving licence will, therefore, be essential.

Good communication skills both verbal and written, are essential as is the ability to follow Company procedures. The role will involve some selling ability. The applicant will need the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.

References will be required.

This role is for 4 days per week. There will be occasional out of hours, normally with plenty of notice, as well as holiday cover etc.
